A smorgasbord of 10 minute plays featuring actors in multiple roles to make you laugh, to make you cry, to make you cheer.

Citadel Theatre is a professional non-equity company based in Lake Forest, IL. Halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee, their goal is to attract the finest performers, designers, and directors from both cities to perform for Lake County audiences. Since 2002 they have presenting original plays, cutting-edge dramas, and top-notch comedies and are currently creating a new 150-seat arena theatre for their ever-growing subscription base.

If you thought all Irish dancers were curly haired cutie pies, meet a scowling misfit in this outrageous antidote to Riverdance. Pungent vintage photos of not-so-swinging London illustrate Maire Clerkin’s woeful but hilarious personal history as the disappointing daughter of a successful Irish Dancing teacher in 1970s London.

Maire Clerkin is a writer, actor, dancer from London, of Irish parents. She co-founded The Hairy Marys and Clerkinworks Irish Dance Theatre Company in the UK, touring extensively. Teaching credits include Loyola Marymount University, University of Limerick, LA Music Center and Orange County Performing Arts. Choreographic credits include BBC TV Music Makers, Dancing on Dangerous Ground at Radio City Music Hall, Unconnected Soundings at Royal Opera House and A Gaelic Gathering at Walt Disney Hall, Los Angeles. She adjudicates Irish Dance competitions worldwide and choreographs award-winning dance theatre for academies in North America. Maire emigrated to California in 2003.

Imagine "Annie" as a facetious adult graphic novel. Pure unadulterated collaborative camp! Annee Pocalypse was written by Jason Dabrowski, Jacob Christopher Green, and Calidonia Olivares as a way to reach beyond their mainstage works and form an edgier and sicker version of themselves. With the music you love reinterpreted by Jinx Titanic we follow Lil' Whor'n Annee as she searches for the perfect threesome in a zombie filled electrifying Sarah Palin run post apocalyptic future.






Hubris Productions is comprised of friends from different walks of life who found each other and decided there was no better place to make an artistic home than in Chicago. Hubris chooses to present plays that speak to us, move us, or amuse us, in the belief they will touch a chord with our audience as well.

"And Ya Don't Stop, a hip hop play" utilizes hip hop culture to create a contemporary spin on the age old redemption tale. A riff on A Christmas Carol and Dr. Faustus it engages a diverse audience sharing a familiar tale of good vs. bad; commercial vs. artistic; underground vs. selling out all to the backdrop of hip hop.

Nicole Kearney Productions is a theatrical stage production company dedicated to the cultivation of contemporary theater and new audiences by producing original, engaging, thoughtful and entertaining live theater.

This piece was born from an outside influence who constantly said the playwright needed to write something different. This play is dedicated to the memory of Andrew Sheffield, Jr. who inspired and cheered it along from it's humble beginnings to it's first readings.

The work took its first breath in the real journey of a young Mary Swander, called to retrieve her mother’s body back for burial in the family hometown. Mary’s godmother, who accompanied her on her journey told stories of the colorful, vigorous lives and deaths of her family. Ms. Swander then poured their lives onto the page. The result was a narrative poem garnering praise from critics across the country. As a stage play, directed by award winning Broadway director, Michael Sokoloff, the performer seeks simplicity and honesty in sharing these memories as one woman standing gratefully before her godmother.

“Swanderwoman Productions” is an Iowa Based Theatre Company primarily featuring the work of Mary Swander and her stage collaborations with Professional Iowa Artists as well as projects that grow out of her work with her Iowa State University Students. Mary has several productions currently touring Iowa and the Mid-west: Farmscape, a Docu-drama about the changing rural environment, The Girls on The Roof, a Mississippi Flood Narrative and the new production of Driving The Body Back. Mary has won many awards for her writing including her most recent: being named as The Poet Laureate of The State of Iowa.”

Pat Devine said, “the hell with it.” Then, to show that he meant it, he bought a beat up Cadillac for $500 and drove it (as far as he could) across America. This show, complete with video and photos from the trip, is the story of what happened.

Patrick Devine has worked as a producer and correspondent in news/talk radio (KABC 790 AM Los Angeles), as an actor on the stage (Groundlings Improv) and television (“The Minor Accomplishments of Jackie Woodman”) and has worked as a writer and producer for television (Looney Tunes, Lovespring International). Patrick has a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Oregon and an M.A. in American History from California State University, Northridge.
