Hello - here we are at the beginning of the yellow brick road if you will. About a month ago, I decided to start the Chicago Fringe Festival. Don't know what a Fringe Festival is? In a sentence, it is an experimental theatre festival. Great info can be found at http://fringefestivals.us/where.php. As you'll note, Chicago, our great Theatre city, CHICAGO does not have one. Not yet anyhow!
I plan on making the Fringe into a 501(c)3 non for profit entity. Right now lots of little things are percolating, but short term goals are getting the website up (will be at http://www.chicagofringe.org/) and getting the Board of Directors together. I'm aiming for putting up the first one in 2011. My office hours will be M-F, 7-9 pm. That's to get started.
