BITE Theatre presents KRAIGSLIST
Venue: Dream Theatre
Showtimes:
In this dark and adventurous comedy that divided Milwaukee audiences and critics alike, a lonely middle- aged couple kidnap a homeless woman’s child in a desperate attempt to save their marriage.
KRAIGSLIST addresses the barrier of language, and the frustration of misunderstanding. It’s a play about ignorance, the insanity of our daily lives, and the great gap that exists between people of different cultures.
Russ Bickerstaff, staff reviewer for the Shepard Express, says: “I’m really looking forward to more from Bite Theatre. Any company with the guts to stage this sort of show prior to late night in a venue as prominent as the Off-Broadway Theatre is worth paying attention to. This is clearly the right kind of energy and Milwaukee needs more of it.”
BITE Theatre was formed in Milwaukee in the winter of 2009. BITE is committed to creating genre-bending work with a bite in an environment that supports artistic risk. BITE is one of the only theatres in Wisconsin with multiple playwrights in residence, and incorporates dance, music, and gallery hangings into every production.
